Who we are
The Overlap Hub (theoverlaphub.org) is a free educational resource about mold illness/CIRS, MCAS, POTS and hEDS, run by HealingAfterMold. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean The Overlap Hub.
Information you send us (contact form)
Our “Submit a Resource Suggestion” form asks for your name, email address and message. We use this information only to read your suggestion and reply to you. We don’t add you to a mailing list, and we don’t sell or share your details with anyone else.
The form is handled by Formspree, a form-processing service that delivers your message to us by email. Formspree processes and stores submissions on our behalf under its own privacy policy, and may use spam-protection tools when you submit.
We keep messages until we’ve replied, then delete them within one year.
Please don’t include private health details you wouldn’t want to send by email.
Hosting and visitor statistics
This website is hosted by Tiiny.host. Tiiny.host provides visitor statistics based on Plausible Analytics. These statistics are cookieless: according to Tiiny.host, they don’t use cookies or persistent identifiers and don’t track you across websites.
What we can see is aggregate information, such as the number of visitors and page views, which websites sent visitors to us, approximate location (country or city), and browser, operating system and screen size. We can’t see who you are.
Like any web host, Tiiny.host and its delivery network receive basic technical information (such as your IP address and browser type) when your browser requests a page, so the site can be delivered and kept secure.
Services our pages load
To display this site, your browser also loads files from a few outside services: page styling from Tailwind CSS (cdn.tailwindcss.com), icons from Font Awesome via cdnjs (cdnjs.cloudflare.com), and the homepage background photo from picsum.photos. These services receive standard technical information, such as your IP address and browser type, when your browser requests their files.
Cookies
We don’t set any cookies of our own. The on-site chat assistant runs entirely in your browser, so what you type into it isn’t sent to us or saved. Websites you visit through our links may use their own cookies.
Affiliate links
Some product links and discount codes on this site are affiliate links or codes. If you click one or use a code and buy something, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. When you click an affiliate link, the retailer or its affiliate network may use cookies or similar technology to record that you came from our site. This is covered by their privacy policies, not ours.
Links to other websites
We link to many outside websites, including patient organizations, testing labs, retailers and social media (such as TikTok and Facebook). We don’t control those sites. Once you leave The Overlap Hub, their privacy practices apply.
What we don’t do
- We don’t sell, rent or trade your personal information.
- We don’t show ads or use advertising trackers on this site.
- We don’t ask you to create an account.
Health information and emergencies
The Overlap Hub shares educational information only. It is not a medical service, and we can’t give personal medical advice. Please don’t use our contact form for urgent or emergency health concerns. If you think you may be having a medical emergency, call 911 (in the US) or your local emergency number.
Your choices
You can ask us what you’ve sent us through the contact form, or ask us to delete your messages. Just contact us (see below) and we’ll do our best to help.
Changes to this policy
If our practices change, we’ll update this page and the effective date at the top.
